Saint Mary The Virgin, Bearley

Church of St. Mary The Virgin, Bearley

The village of Bearley is about five miles north of Stratford-upon-Avon and lies within the Stratford parish. John Yates spent the years of his ontogenesis here – from infancy to adolescence. John sang in the choir of Holy Trinity Church, Stratford, where he was head chorister.

St. Mary The Virgin church has been largely rebuilt in modern times, but the nave dates from the 12th century and the chancel may be of the 13th or 14th century. The west wall and porch-tower are of red brick. The bell-cote is of wood. The main roof is tiled.

Crying Man

How damaging this can be to the individual varies, but studies have shown that crying is beneficial to both mental and physical health.
